Apr 08,  · Pisac Ruins. The Pisac Archaeological Site above the village is the largest fortress city of the Incas and one of the largest of ancient America. During a Pisac tour, walking the site in full with expert guiding in Peru takes one and a half hours approximately.

Jan 21,  · From here the path continues down to Pisac village, with several spectacular viewpoints along the way. It can take around 2 hours to hike from the very top of Pisac ruins down to the village, depending on how often you stop for photos or a flemdocthirdrarotsi.phoparlabestlacorebyzowebteva.cog: Procession.

We were in Pisac 5 weeks ago. The mass and the procession are still in alternative church, several blocks from the main square where is the local Sunday market. When we visited, the procession was around AM. It was big dissapointment and unless you have spare time, I would not look for it.

The procession starts at 2pm leaving from the cathedral and parades around the historic centre returning to the main square at approx. 7pm, which is usually packed at this point. You can’t miss the procession as crowds will start to gather hours before in the Plaza de Armas or main square to get a good viewpoint.

Nov 16,  · I arrived on Friday and kept plenty busy, but it wasn’t until Sunday, when the procession from the mountain comes down to hear mass, did the village truly come alive. One of my favorite things to do in new countries is to hear mass, and I was lucky enough to be in Pisac Location: Southwest Hamilton Street Portland, OR, United States.

Not at all the procession that I had read and heard about. I agree with Wes, Visit the Pisac ruins on the way to Ollantaytambo, then on Monday I would head for Chinchero in the morning, see Chinchero, then the Salt Mines, Moray and end the day back in Ollantaytambo visiting the ruins, or if you have enough time on Tuesday hike to the Calcas on.

Sep 06,  · Plan on spending about 90 minutes at Pisac ruins, which is ideal with a smaller group (max 4 people). After visiting the ruins, we visited Pisac town for the Sunday mass and procession. We also had time to shop for local arts and crafts before heading to Urubamba for lunch at Muna Restaurante (Hacienda style)K TripAdvisor reviews.

Sunday is probably the biggest and most crowded but also on Sundays the mayor leads a procession through the town after church. I would say its pretty easy to get to Pisac from either Cusco or Ollantaytambo but its a shorter distance from Cusco and thus quicker but that all depends on the mode of transport too. You can get a bus for literally a dollar or two but it will .
